This property on the outskirts of the popular village of Monda sits in a privileged position being only a short walk to the centre of the village. You are immediately relaxed and in holiday mode. To the right hand corner is the bar-bbq-entertainment area, this feels like such a chilled holiday home.
The property is on two levels. The front door opening to the hallway, to the left is the family kitchen - this is definitely the heart of the home with wood burning stove in the corner making this room homely during the winter evenings.
The breakfast terrace runs along the front of the property and is accessed from both the lounge and one of the three bedrooms on this level. The Master Bedroom with ensuite overlooks the pool area. The family bathroom is also located on this level.
The separate accommodation can be accessed from the house but also has the added benefit of a separate access. The separate accommodation is currently furnished with two bedrooms but it could also be a lounge, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
To the left of the properties is a stable block that is currently used as storage rooms.
This property has just been reformed and is presented in excellent condition.
MONDA
Monda is a pretty, whitewashed village at the edge of natural park Sierra de las Nieves, just 15 minutes from the coast of Marbella. Life is peaceful here and at a slow pace. Locals great each other passing by and always have time for a chat or a coffee. Although Monda is an authentic Spanish village, the locals mix very well with the other nationalities present in the village (Dutch, English, Swedish, German).
For a small town, you will be surprised about what this lovely place has to offer. Monda attracts a big group of students each year, as the Marbella Design Academy is situated on the outskirts of the village. There are quite a few bars, restaurants and even two clubs for the younger generation, which are always busy! The fish restaurant with secret garden is a lovely place to enjoy whatever is available that day.. Bar Luna is the place to be and offers the best breakfast and tapas in town, next to live entertainment in Summer.
The village has everything you need, and more: a small supermarket, local bakery, pharmacy, vet clinic, weekly fruit market and did we mention the churros truck on Sunday mornings? The community pool is just a 5 minute walk from the centre of town and if you continue walking, you can explore the beautiful national park Sierra de las Nieves. This is the ideal place for hiking, biking, motor crossing and horseback riding.
At the top of the mountain, overlooking the village, is its most famous feature: 'Castillo de Monda', the Monda castle. The hotel, run by Dutch hosts, also has a fabulous restaurant with stunning views over the village and all the way to Málaga.
Monda is 30 minutes ( 37 km.) from the city of Málaga and the airport. The coast of Marbella is only 15 minutes ( 15 km.) away.
