Estepona is about 10 mins away also ( there market is on a Sunday in the Marina ) The town boasts an excellent modern Orchadarium - well presented Botanical Gardens - good place to be if it ever rains.
There is also the Selwo Animal Park which is great for the children.
Malaga airport is about 50 mins drive and Gibraltar about the same in the opposite direction.
Both places are worth a seperate visit especially if there is a Music concert inside the Rock of Gibraltar itself and Malaga for its many historical buildings.
